I used goldwave's mechanize feature at 10000khz, then applied low pass filter at 10000 khz to filter out the newly created upper sideband, then i used mechanize again at 9000 khz, which tuned in the recording just like if i had a tuneable receiver.

This sound consists on the effect of opening a trash container, it is made of plastic but the pedals that force the mechanism to open are made of steel. The sound is like displacing plastic strongly. The sound was recorded with a zoom h4 recorder, while opening the trash container pulling the pedal. It was recorded on tanger street, behind the upf poblenou campus in barcelona.

The belgian railroad company infrabel replaced all the mechanical bells at railroad crossings with a pulsating digital sound that they claim to be more efficient and safe then the previous analog bell sound.
